ESPN says the NFL could make a decision as late as Friday with as much as four feet of snow expected to fall in some areas starting Thursday and lasting through the weekend.
The National Weather Service has called it a potential “paralyzing” storm.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano says Detroit’s indoor Ford Field makes “a lot of sense” as a possible replacement venue. The Lions are on the road this week and the Bills play at Detroit on Thursday in a U.S. Thanksgiving game.
The Bills played a home game against the New York Jets in Detroit in 2014 after heavy snow blanketed Buffalo. The Sunday game was played on a Monday night, which would not be possible this year with the Bills playing on a Thursday.
